Survey Guidelines

UIC requires inspectors to accept certain responsibilities, adhere to acceptable business principles in matters of personal conduct and exhibit a high degree of personal integrity at all times. Above all, an insured is treated with every courtesy, served promptly and given as much assistance as needed to understand the survey process.

• They are familiar with the language of the inspection process as well as appraisal, architectural and construction terms.
• Although appointments are not required, consideration is given to insured with regard to the time of the inspection call.
• Our inspectors explain the function of the inspection and describe the procedures involved in the visual inspection of the premises.
• We discuss recommendations with insured if insured if receptive.
• When confronted with any objections or disagreements to the inspection process, we reassure the insured that the problems will be addressed immediately.
• All reports are strictly confidential. Our inspectors do not discuss other clients, properties, etc. during inspections.
• We maintain a positive attitude.
